In Friday's league outing, the Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD), by a margin of 74-50.
The Kernels (16-1) will now prepare for their outing against Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD). The Rough Riders go into the AA outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Roosevelt was trounced by Washington (Sioux Falls, SD), 56-52, in a league outing.
The Governors now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Jefferson for a AA outing on Tuesday, February 20. Riggs will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 78-51 league win over Brookings (Brookings, SD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 9-9.
