Southridge Skyhawks (Beaverton, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), 70-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Southridge upgrades its record to 21-3 on the season. The Skyhawks host Sunset (Portland, OR) to play the Apollos in a 6A Metro bout on Friday, February 23. The Apollos go into the bout with a record of 9-13.

Next up, the Mavericks play the Aloha Warriors (Beaverton, OR) in a 6A Metro bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Mountainside will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-20 record after their 101-36 league loss to Jesuit (Portland, OR).
