Ohio High School Basketball - Northwest overwhelms Western

February 16, 2024: McDermott, OH 45652

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) and the visiting Western Indians (Latham, OH), saw Northwest's basketball squad wallop Western by a tally of 75-31.

With the victory, Northwest improves its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Mohawks host West Union (West Union, OH) to confront the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 19. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 3-19. West Union lost 78-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Felicity-Franklin (Felicity, OH)

Next up, the Indians confront the Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Western will attempt to improve on its 6-16 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 3-18 record after their 56-41 non-league loss to Fisher Catholic (Lancaster, OH).
