Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Aniak Halfbreeds (Aniak, AK) and the visiting Cook Inlet Academy Eagles (Soldotna, AK), saw Aniak's basketball squad overcome Cook Inlet Academy by a tally of 39-31.

With the victory, Aniak improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Halfbreeds travel to Newhalen (Newhalen, AK) to play the Malamutes in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 23. The Malamutes come into the challenge with a record of 21-0.

Next up, the Eagles play the Unalaska Raiders (Unalaska, AK) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 16. Cook Inlet Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-19 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 64-42 non-league win over Aniak (Aniak, AK).
