Berea Pirates (Berea, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Frankfort Panthers (Frankfort, KY), 44-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Berea upgrades its record to 16-10 on the season. The Pirates travel to Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, February 19. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 10-15. Paul Laurence Dunbar lost 57-45 in their recent non-league bout against Madison Central (Richmond, KY)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Frankfort will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Commodores go into the bout with a 15-14 record after their 61-29 non-league win over Kentucky School for the Deaf (Danville, KY).
