Mississippi High School Basketball - Tunica Academy can't hold off DeSoto

The DeSoto Thunderbirds basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host Tunica Academy Blue Devils to 31 in the Thunderbirds non-league victory on Friday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 28-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lamar Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 17. DeSoto will meet a Lions team coming off a 38-35 non-league win over Benton Academy (Benton, MS). The Lions record now stands at 30-5.

With the defeat, Tunica Academy moves to 0-8 on the year.
