The North Michigan Christian Academy Comets (Burt Lake, MI) basketball nipped the visiting Ellsworth Lancers (Ellsworth, MI), 37-30 in Friday's league test.

The Comets (12-6) will now prepare for their test against Harbor Light Christian (Harbor Springs, MI). The Swordsmen go into the Northern Lakes test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Harbor Light Christian got by St. Michael Academy (Petoskey, MI), 41-15, in a non-league test.

The Lancers now own a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Central Lake for a non-league test on Monday, February 19. Ellsworth will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 50-16 league loss to Johannesburg-Lewiston (Johannesburg, MI). The Trojans record now stands at 3-14.
