Emporia Spartans (Emporia, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Junction City Bluejays (Junction City, KS), 39-7 in a league bout.

With the win, Emporia upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Paola (Paola, KS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 22. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-14.

Next up, the Bluejays play the Topeka Trojans (Topeka, KS) in a Centennial bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Junction City will attempt to upgrade on its 1-19 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-14 record after their 69-36 non-league loss to Hayden (Topeka, KS).
