Lawton Blue Devils (Lawton, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish (Kalamazoo, MI), 42-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Lawton upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Blue Devils host Fennville (Fennville, MI) to play the Blackhawks in a Southwestern - Lakeshore bout on Tuesday, February 20. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 4-14. Fennville lost 62-23 in their recent non-league bout against Saugatuck (Saugatuck, MI)

Next up, the Fighting Irish play the Watervliet Panthers (Watervliet, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Hackett Catholic Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 41-40 league win over Bridgman (Bridgman, MI).
