The Jefferson Democrats basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting McDaniel Mountain Lions to 11 in the Democrats league triumph on Friday.

The Democrats now sport a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Franklin for a 6A Portland bout on Tuesday, February 20. Jefferson will play a Quakers squad coming off a 53-45 league win over Roosevelt (Portland, OR). The Quakers record now stands at 8-15.

Next up, the Mountain Lions play the Grant Generals (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland bout, on Tuesday, February 20. McDaniel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Generals come into the bout with a 13-10 record after their 41-28 league loss to Cleveland (Portland, OR).
