In Friday's non-league outing, the Kasson-Mantorville Komets (Kasson, MN) basketball squad felled the host Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars (Zumbrota, MN), by a margin of 56-42.
The Komets (14-11) will now prepare for their outing against Byron (Byron, MN). The Bears go into the AAA Section 1 outing with a 20-4 record. In their last outing, Byron thwarted Pine Island (Pine Island, MN), 63-32, in a non-league outing.
