Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Harleton Wildcats (Harleton, TX), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Athens for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. Sabine will face a Hornets squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 4-0.

With the loss, Harleton falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Alto (Alto, TX) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 17. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Alto lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Quitman (Quitman, TX)
