The crowd at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Portsmouth Patriots (Portsmouth, RI) and the visiting Cranston East Thunderbolts (Cranston, RI), witnessed Portsmouth's ice hockey team hold off Cranston East by a score of 3-2.
The Patriots (13-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI). The Lions come into the Division 2 challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln was nipped by Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI), 10-3, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the West Warwick Wizards (West Warwick, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 21. Cranston East will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record.
