The East Greenwich Avengers ice hockey team scored 8 points and held the visiting Narragansett Mariners to 4 in the Avengers league victory on Sunday.

The Avengers now hold a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Kingstown for a Division 2 bout on Saturday, February 22. East Greenwich will play a Rebels team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Cumberland (Cumberland, RI). The Rebels record now stands at 3-16.

With the defeat, Narragansett moves to 6-5 on the season. The Mariners travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, RI) to play the Lions in a Division 2 bout on Wednesday, February 19. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Lincoln lost 6-3 in their recent league bout against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI)
