The Winona Winhawks basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Austin Packers to 62 in the Winhawks league triumph on Friday.

The Winhawks now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John Marshall for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 18. Winona will meet a Rockets team coming off a 57-37 non-league win over Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Rockets record now stands at 8-13.

The Packers (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Spartans enter the AAAA Section 1 contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Mayo was nudged by Century (Rochester, MN), 81-63, in a league contest.
