The Chaparral Lobos basketball team (Chaparral, NM), was overwhelmed 64-31 in Friday's league battle with the host Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM)
The Fighting Colts now possess a 16-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deming for a 4A District 3 battle on Monday, February 20. Silver will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 45-29 league win over Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Wildcats record now stands at 16-10.
The Lobos (4-21) will now prepare for their battle against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors come into the 4A District 3 battle with a 8-18 record. In their last battle, Santa Teresa was overwhelmed by Deming (Deming, NM), 45-29, in a league battle.
