Wachusett Regional Mountaineers (Holden, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fitchburg Red Raiders (Fitchburg, MA), 47-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Wachusett Regional upgrades its record to 8-10 on the season. The Mountaineers host St. John's Prep (Danvers, MA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Monday, February 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 6-13. St. John's Prep lost 92-70 in their recent non-league bout against St. Mary's (Lynn, MA)

Next up, the Red Raiders play the Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Fitchburg will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 14-5 record after their 76-67 league loss to South (Worcester, MA).
