In Friday's league outing, the Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM) basketball squad felled the host Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM), by a margin of 51-42.
The Mustangs (10-11) will now prepare for their outing against Alamo Navajo (Magdalena, NM). The Cougars go into the A District 3 outing with a 21-4 record. In their last outing, Alamo Navajo thwarted Carrizozo (Carrizozo, NM), 75-41, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Carrizozo for a A District 3 outing on Tuesday, February 21. Hondo Valley will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 62-35 non-league loss to Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Grizzlies record now stands at 4-21.
