In Friday's non-league outing, the J.I. Burton Black Raiders (Norton, VA) basketball squad felled the visiting Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), by a margin of 65-50.
The Black Raiders (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA). The Rebels go into the non-league outing with a 14-11 record. In their last outing, Patrick Henry thwarted Northwood (Saltville, VA), 57-50, in a league outing.
The Eagles now own a 4-14 record.
