Leavenworth PIONEERS (Leavenworth, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lansing Lions (Lansing, KS), 59-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Leavenworth upgrades its record to 6-12 on the season. The PIONEERS travel to Turner (Kansas City, KS) to clash with the Golden Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a record of 1-15.

Next up, the Lions clash with the Basehor-Linwood Bobcats (Basehor, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Lansing will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 43-42 non-league loss to Seaman (Topeka, KS).
