In Friday's league outing, the Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR), by a count of 65-36.
The Fishermen (20-2) will now prepare for their outing against Seaside (Seaside, OR). The Seagulls go into the 4A Cowapa outing with a 11-10 record. In their last outing, Seaside was crushed by Scappoose (Scappoose, OR), 32-29, in a league outing.
The Lions now hold a 6-17 record.
