South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK), 42-29 in a league bout.

With the win, South Anchorage upgrades its record to 6-13 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Dimond (Anchorage, AK) to play the Lynx in a 4A Cook Inlet bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Lynx go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Dimond lost 65-47 in their recent league bout against West Anchorage (Anchorage, AK)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Bettye Davis East Anchorage will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 65-47 league win over Dimond (Anchorage, AK).
