In Friday's non-league outing, the Zion Christian Mountaineers (Byron Center, MI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Calhoun Christian Cougars (Battle Creek, MI), by a margin of 54-33.

The Mountaineers (16-3) will now prepare for their outing against Wellspring Prep (Grand Rapids, MI). The go into the Freelance outing with a 0-9 record. In their last outing, Wellspring Prep was trounced by West Michigan Aviation Academy (Grand Rapids, MI), 50-18, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they travel to Battle Creek Academy for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 21.
