The Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM) basketball knocked off the visiting Native American Community Academy Eagles (Albuquerque, NM), 57-44 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (13-12) will now prepare for their test against Menaul (Albuquerque, NM). The Panthers go into the 2A District 2 test with a 17-7 record. In their last test, Menaul notched a victory over Native American Community Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 56-29, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 9-16 record. They play next when they travel to Academy for Technology and The Classics for a 2A District 2 test on Saturday, February 18. Native American Community Academy will encounter a squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Tierra Encantada (Santa Fe, NM). The record now stands at 17-7.
