The Hesston Swathers basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Smoky Valley Vikings to 33 in the Swathers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Swathers now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nickerson for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 21. Hesston will battle a Panthers team coming off a 45-22 non-league loss to Hoisington (Hoisington, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 5-14.
The Vikings (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Halstead (Halstead, KS). The Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Halstead ran past Haven (Haven, KS), 44-33, in a non-league contest.
