Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds (Tecumseh, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Turner Golden Bears (Kansas City, KS), 50-14 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Shawnee Heights upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Seaman (Topeka, KS) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 17-1. Seaman won 66-34 in their recent non-league bout against Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS)

Next up, the Golden Bears play the Leavenworth PIONEERS (Leavenworth, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Turner will attempt to upgrade on its 1-16 season record. The PIONEERS go into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 48-36 league win over Lansing (Lansing, KS).
