In Friday's league battle, the visiting Rice Consolidated Raiders soccer squad scored a close 2-1 win over the Calhoun Sandcrabs.
The Raiders (1-9) will now prepare for their battle against Columbus (Columbus, TX). The Cardinals go into the 4A Region 3 District 22 battle with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Columbus nipped Palacios (Palacios, TX), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Sandcrabs (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Bay City (Bay City, TX). The Blackcats go into the 4A Region 3 District 22 battle with a 16-2 record. In their last battle, Bay City nipped El Campo (El Campo, TX), 9-0, in a league battle.
