In Friday's league battle, the host Sharpstown Apollos soccer squad scored a close 6-0 win over the Madison Marlins.
The Apollos (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against Austin (Houston, TX). The Mustangs go into the 5A Region 3 District 19 battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Austin was overwhelmed by Waltrip (Houston, TX), 10-0, in a league battle.
The Marlins (0-5) will now prepare for their battle against Carnegie Vanguard (Houston, TX). The Rhinos go into the battle with a 0-6 record. In their last battle, Carnegie Vanguard was overwhelmed by Northside (Houston, TX), 1-0, in a league battle.
