In Friday's league battle, the host Smithson Valley Rangers soccer squad scored a close 2-0 win over the Pieper Warriors.
The Rangers (15-0) will now prepare for their battle against Tivy (Kerrville, TX). The Antlers go into the 5A Region 4 District 26 battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Tivy nipped Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX), 2-0, in a league battle.
The Warriors (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors go into the 5A Region 4 District 26 battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Seguin by Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX), 6-0, in a league battle.
