The Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston Spartans (Washington, CT) ice hockey nipped the visiting BBD [Brookfield/Bethel/Danbury] IceCats (Brookfield, CT), 3-2 in Friday's league battle.

The Spartans now hold a 8-8 record. They play next when they host New Milford for a Southern Connecticut - DIII battle on Tuesday, February 21. Shepaug/Litchfield/Nonnewaug/Thomaston will play a Green Wave team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Amity Regional (Woodbridge, CT). The Green Wave record now stands at 14-3.
