Hyde Park Panthers (Austin, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX), 10-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Grace Community for a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 18. Hyde Park will face a Cougars squad coming off a 7-7 non-league Gladewater (Gladewater, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Westwood falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Frankston (Frankston, TX) to face the Indians in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Frankston won 19-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakwood (Oakwood, TX)
