In Saturday's non-league match, the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 61-34 triumph over the Mediapolis Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA) in a non-league match, on Monday, February 26. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 21-3 season record. The Cyclones enter the match with a 20-3 record after their 50-47 non-league win over Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA).
With the defeat, Mediapolis moves to 18-7 on the year.
