The Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) softball routed the visiting Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS), 8-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The War Eagles (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Purvis (Purvis, MS). The Tornadoes enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Purvis got by West Jones (Laurel, MS), 14-4, in a non-league challenge.

With the loss, Sacred Heart falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Perry Central (New Augusta, MS) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 22. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Perry Central won 25-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Laurel (Laurel, MS)
