In Monday's non-league game, the host Crisp County Cougars baseball team scored a close 3-0 win over the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane.
The Cougars (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Worth County (Sylvester, GA). The Rams go into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Worth County nudged Westover (Albany, GA), 16-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Purple Hurricane play the Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 18. Fitzgerald will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Bulldogs go into the game with a 1-1 record after their 6-2 non-league win over Berrien (Nashville, GA).
