The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) and the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), observed Pinecrest's basketball team knock off Union Pines by a score of 71-57.

The Patriots (15-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders come into the 3A/4A Sandhills challenge with a 14-9 record. In their last challenge, Richmond dropped by Scotland (Laurinburg, NC), 79-72, in a league challenge.
