The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) and the visiting Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA), observed West Liberty's basketball team edge Wilton by a margin of 69-64.

The Comets (12-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Rebels come into the River Valley challenge with a 15-3 record. In their last challenge, Northeast edged Anamosa (Anamosa, IA), 60-44, in a league challenge.
