The Appomattox County Raiders defeated the host Nelson County Governors basketball squad by a final score of 42-30 in Monday's league outing.

Next, the Raiders clash with the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood outing, on Tuesday, February 18. Appomattox County will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the outing with a 2-19 record after their 60-27 league loss to Chatham (Chatham, VA).

The Governors (0-19) will now prepare for their outing against Gretna (Gretna, VA). The Hawks come into the Dogwood outing with a 13-9 record. In their last outing, Gretna overcame William Campbell (Naruna, VA), 45-26, in a league outing.
