North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County triumphant over Owen

The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) and the host Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC), observed Avery County's basketball team overwhelm Owen by a score of 53-20.

The Vikings (18-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Mitchell (Bakersville, NC). The Mountaineers come into the non-league challenge with a 15-7 record. In their last challenge, Mitchell was routed by Avery County (Newland, NC), 55-51, in a league challenge.
