North Carolina High School Basketball - Bear Grass Charter triumphant over Mattamuskeet

The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Bear Grass Charter Bears (Williamston, NC) and the host Mattamuskeet Lakers (Swan Quarter, NC), observed Bear Grass Charter's basketball team overwhelm Mattamuskeet by a score of 59-18.

The Bears (17-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hobgood Charter (Hobgood, NC). The Raiders come into the 1A Atlantic challenge with a 8-10 record. In their last challenge, Hobgood Charter was routed by Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC), 48-21, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lakers encounter the Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, NC) in a 1A Atlantic challenge, on Friday, February 21. Mattamuskeet will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 54-46 league win over Cape Hatteras (Buxton, NC).
