In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars basketball team scored a close 59-53 triumph over the Hand Tigers.
The Cougars (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Joel Barlow (Redding, CT). The Falcons go into the Southwest contest with a 2-3 record.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Cheshire Rams (Cheshire, CT) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, February 19. Hand will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record.
