The Liberty Minutemen basketball team scored 62 points and limited the visiting Altavista Colonels to 54 in the Minutemen non-league triumph on Monday.

The Minutemen now possess a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Amherst County for a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. Liberty will play a Lancers team coming off a 39-35 non-league win over Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Lancers record now stands at 12-7.

With the loss, Altavista falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Chatham (Chatham, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 18. The Cavaliers go into the game with a record of 8-12. Chatham lost 61-49 in their recent non-league game against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)
