Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Salem Wildcats (Tylertown, MS) and the host West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS), saw Salem's baseball squad edge West Lincoln by a count of 8-7.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, February 22. Salem will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The Bobcats enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Wesson (Wesson, MS).
