    • Kansas High School Basketball - Hutchinson can't hold off Maize South

    February 18, 2022: Hutchinson, KS 67501

    The Maize South Mavericks basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Hutchinson Salthawks to 44 in the Mavericks non-league victory on Friday.

    The Mavericks now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Derby for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I contest on Tuesday, February 22. Maize South will battle a Panthers team coming off a 74-60 non-league win over Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 11-7.

    The Salthawks (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Haysville Campus (Wichita, KS). The Colts come into the non-league contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Haysville Campus was nudged by Derby (Derby, KS), 74-60, in a non-league contest.
