The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane the visiting Irwin County Indians baseball team by a count of 6-2 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Purple Hurricane now possess a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Crisp County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. Fitzgerald will face a Cougars team coming off a 5-3 non-league win over Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-1.
Next, the Indians face the Berrien Rebels (Nashville, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Irwin County will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Rebels enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Bacon County (Alma, GA).
