The Cobden Appleknockers topped the visiting Shawnee Redskins basketball team by a final score of 60-40 in Saturday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Appleknockers face the Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, February 22. Cobden will attempt to move on its 13-17 season record. The Blackcats enter the game with a 22-9 record after their 67-51 league win over Trico (Campbell Hill, IL).
With the defeat, Shawnee moves to 5-18 on the year.
