Needham Rockets (Needham, MA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wellesley Raiders (Wellesley, MA), 57-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Needham upgrades its record to 17-2 on the season. The Rockets host Boston College High (Boston, MA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Boston College High won 58-44 in their recent non-league bout against Central Catholic (Lawrence, MA)

Next up, the Raiders play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, MA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 20. Wellesley will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Minutemen go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 69-65 non-league win over Westport (Westport, MA).
