Shaktoolik Wolverines (Shaktoolik, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Brevig Mission Huskies (Brevig Mission, AK), 75-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Shaktoolik upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season.
Next up, the Huskies play the Shishmaref Northern Lights (Shishmaref, AK) in a 1A Bering Sea bout, on Friday, February 24. Brevig Mission will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Northern Lights go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 75-48 non-league win over Alak (Wainwright, AK).
