Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Pellston Hornets (Pellston, MI), 58-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Johannesburg-Lewiston upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Forest Area (Fife Lake, MI) to clash with the Warriors in a Ski-Valley bout on Tuesday, February 21. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-18. Forest Area lost 51-33 in their recent league bout against Mancelona (Mancelona, MI)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Central Lake Trojans (Central Lake, MI) in a Ski-Valley bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Pellston will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 40-37 league loss to Inland Lakes (Indian River, MI).
