Bridgeland Bears (Cypress, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Kingwood Mustangs (Kingwood, TX), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Langham Creek for a 6A Region II District 16 challenge on Tuesday, February 21. Bridgeland will battle a Lobos squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Americas (El Paso, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Kingwood falls to 5-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Liberty (Liberty, TX) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 21. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Liberty lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Pearland (Pearland, TX)
