The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Poultney Blue Devils (Poultney, VT) and the visiting Long Trail (Dorset, VT), observed Poultney's basketball team knock off Long Trail by a score of 69-50.

The Blue Devils (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT). The Phoenix come into the Southern Vermont - D challenge with a 0-17 record. In their last challenge, Sharon Academy dropped by Long Trail (Dorset, VT), 54-21, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the battle the West Rutland Golden Horde (West Rutland, VT) in a Southern Vermont - D challenge, on Friday, February 21. Long Trail will attempt to move on its 5-12 season record. The Golden Horde go into the bout with a 18-2 record after their 69-28 non-league win over Leland & Gray (Townshend, VT).
